another wee present

Didn't get as much crafty time as I had planeed today as it was Lily's nativity play at lunchtime and this evening too. Awwww it was so good! This will be Lily's last year in the nativity as it is just primary 1-3 that are in it.

But I did manage to make a notebook. I am making these notebooks for all the kids I look after as well as a couple of Lily's friends :o)

Now if I am honest I am not the best at boys cards. I don't have many boys stamps, but I did find this one in the box, its a Whiff of Joy one from a while ago. Thankfully I only have one boy to make for lol. The papers are Dovecraft, the wee jumper is paper pieced with the brown diamond paper.

I am entering it into a couple of challenges:

Allsorts week 82 and a few extras

This week over at Allsorts Debs wants us to make a last minute Christmas card....not difficult with only 2 weeks til the day itself eh? We are having our Sunday School outing tomorrow, we are going on the Santa Express in Aviemore. Normally we should be having a party but with only 5 kids in Sunday School its a bit hard to get the party atmos going!

These cards and three below really were last minute, Monday was an inservice at the school so it was closed and it confused me completely, yesterday I was convinced it was Thursday and so hadn't made my DT card!! naughty panda lol. So got my skates on this afty and did these for the 5 sunday school kiddiwinks :o)

Snowy day crafting!!

WOW o WOW haven't we had some freaky weather this week? Most of you have had loads of snow and its normally us laden down with the white stuff. For most of this week it has simply been too cold to snow, yesterday was the coldest day at around -20 bbrrrr

Today has warmed up a little though as the snow has returned lol Not too much just a few flurries....so far

While Alfie had his nap today I decided to get a couple of cards done. One is my card for tomorrows Allsorts challenge but this one is just for fun, well that and the baby girl my friend is having in the next couple of weeks lol

Keep warm all and back tomorrow with my dt card :o)

Tuesday 30 November 2010

I came 2nd in the polkadoodle challenge!!

Hello all how are we all managing with all the white stuff? Hope you're all keeping warm with extra helpings of hot chocolate and lovely winter food lol. I made a fab pan of soup today to keep us warm. Yummy! Took this pic yesterday with my phone (which is why it is so rubbish haha) Plenty of snowman ingredient here!!

I had some good news the other day ~ I came 2nd in the polkadoodle challenge with my wee box with the gingerbread men on!! I am so chuffed :o) I am proudly displaying the button :o)

ETA how lucky am I that I also won two of the blog hop candies!!!??? Such a lucky girl, going to be getting some new stash then!!

Lily has been off school for 2 days now, its a bit treacherous out and about here so I am staying indoors lol Not that its given me any extra crafting time (boohoo). Alfie is one of those boys you need eyes in the back of your head for so can't sit at the table unless he's in his high chair and he doesn't like to be in it unless he's feeding his face lol. By the time both kids are in bed all I am fit for is collapsing in a heap in front of the tv. Am planning on doing some Christmas presents tonight tho :o) Hope to be back tonight or tomorrow to show them xx

My little guisers

I know I am a couple of days late but thought I would share some pics of the kids in their guising outfits. In scotland we call it guising not trick or treating lol. They also wore their outfits to church as we were having a service of light, almost the opposite of Halloween :o) The congregation loved seeing them dressed up lol

Lily wore her spider outfit for church as her real outfit for guising was a devil girl and I didn't think that was quite appropriate for church lol

Saturday 30 October 2010

Bit of a disaster!!

Hi all and woohoo its Saturday again so a lazy day for me, well as lazy as it can get with two kids lol This week over at Allsorts the fabulous Brenda has the theme of cream, gold and a hint of red. Great I thought, that'll be another Xmas card for the box, so I got to work yesterday making it, left it to let the stickles dry and went off to make the kids snack. When I came back diaster had struck!!! My little monkey had reached over from his high chair and grabbed it and was gnawing away on a very soggy corner, he had also scrunched it up a few times too so it was beyond help!! I could have sworn he wouldn't have been able to reach it but I think my son may have super human skills I don't know about lol I didn't get a piccie of him with the card in his mouth and his cheeks sparkly with stickles but I got this one of him this morning, he has just mastered pulling up to stand up.....oh dear won't be long til he's walking.....help!!!

Sadly I didn't have the time to make another as I was being taken out last night for a treat with a good friend. We went to see Ed Byrne, the comedian, he was hilarious and my face was aching afterward from laughing :o) A good night for sure

So I hope you will head over to Allsorts and join in the lovely theme this week, and be sure to blog hop round the rest of the DTs blogs cos they have made some stuning cards.

Saturday 23 October 2010

Spots and Stripes

OK OK who took it? The last week has gone by so fast I am sure someone has stolen it!! How can it be Saturday again already?

Well seeing as it is Saturday again that means Allsorts time :o) This week it is the fabulous Debs turn to set the theme and she wants to see spots and stripes on your work. I made this card for my brother's birthday, the little happy birthday and the top layer with happy birthday were actually a gift tag on one of ian's birthday presents last year!! the spotty layer of paper is a scrap of funky hand paper from the salt and pepper range, buttons are papermania I think :o) The picture doesn't show it too well but the bottom half of the card has embossed stripes using my score board.
Well my idea of getting some challenge card done this week has obviously gone by the wayside, hopefully I will get to do some this week :o)

Wednesday 20 October 2010

Bingo Time!!

Saturday again already......where oh where are the weeks going? This week over at Allsorts its Bingo time! I had never see this type of challenge before but its fun lol
This is the bingo card, you have to choose a line either vertical, horizontal or diagonal and use the three items to make your card! Simples as we say in our house!! I chose the line with brads, buttons and punches
Our fabby sponsor this week is Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps and more and they provided us dt girls with papers or images. I chose thie see saw image and made this card for one of my childminding girls who has her 3rd birthday coming up. The paper, buttons and cardstock are SU and I used my punches for the flowers are little swirly thingys. The brad is in the middle of the see saw and it means the seesaw actually moves up and down, I thought little Emily would like that! I promise there are two buttons on the card, they are holding the easel part up, but they blend in a bit too much so hard to see in the piccie.
Hope you'll come join us this week :o)

Thursday 14 October 2010

Allsorts...song titles and meet Maisie :o)

It's been an exciting week in the Panda household this week. My step son Nicky and his wife LeeAne were expecting their little bundle of joyon 27th September, well the little mite was obviously very comfy and warm and didn't arrive until Wednesday 6th October, so meet little Maisie.
Some of you will remember the complicated family we have here, I have 3 step kids, Sarah 38, Tara 36 and Nicky 26. Being 35 myself I obviously had nothing to do with the girls childhoods lol but I have brought Nicky up since he was 10 years old. So although Ian my hubby has 7 grandchildren, Maisie is really the first one to feel like my own grandchild :o) And what a beautiful girl to have as my first granchchild she is a wee stunner. Here are a couple of wee pics for you .

Both taken yesterday so 2 days old.

So onto my card for this week:

It is my week at Allsorts this week and I have asked you to take inspiration for your card/item from a song title and I can't wait to see all the diufferent songs you like :o)

My card has an image from a baby themed font on the pc, paper is Papermania, brad and pearls from stash, yellow cardstock is SU. I made this card for my daughter in laws sister as it is her first time being an aunty. I also made cards for Nicky's in laws as this is their first grandchild and also one for Nicky's mum, I got a bit carried away lol Sadly the pics I took of the grandparent cards were blurry as I had the wrong setting on so I can't show them. I will be bak in the week with the card I made for Nicky and LeeAnne.

Saturday 2 October 2010

Allsorts week 70

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are having a fabulous weekend whatever you are doing!

This week at Allsorts Fleur wants you to use at least 3 punches I was delighted to be able to use my new flower punches. I bought them to make the wedding invitations (any excuse lol) and I love them, so expect to see them a lot over the next few weeks :o)
The image is a Penny Black which was given to me in an image swap, I can't colour them though as the card they are stamped on doesn't work well with the promarkers, they don't seem to dry. The paper and cardstock are both Stampin up, punches are large and medium retro flower and a little daisy one I've had forever.
If you haven't entered the Penny Black at Allsorts chellenge this month why not combine them.....the theme for September is "Punch Away" so a perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone :o)
