Allsorts week 70

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are having a fabulous weekend whatever you are doing!

This week at Allsorts Fleur wants you to use at least 3 punches I was delighted to be able to use my new flower punches. I bought them to make the wedding invitations (any excuse lol) and I love them, so expect to see them a lot over the next few weeks :o)
The image is a Penny Black which was given to me in an image swap, I can't colour them though as the card they are stamped on doesn't work well with the promarkers, they don't seem to dry. The paper and cardstock are both Stampin up, punches are large and medium retro flower and a little daisy one I've had forever.
If you haven't entered the Penny Black at Allsorts chellenge this month why not combine them.....the theme for September is "Punch Away" so a perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone :o)

Crafty Ribbons Dotty Challenge

I was a very lucky crafter and was able to join the dotty challenge from the fabulous Crafty Ribbons. I have to say that I just adore the Crafty Ribbons girls, they not only have the scrummiest ribbons around but they arrive so quickly and are so reasonably priced that I only ever buy ribbon from them now! There are hundreds of ribbons to choose from, I can only ever shop there when I have lots of crafty pennies, I know you all know what I mean lol

I have joined a few of the ribbon challenges now and I would urge any of you who love ribbon to try and get onto one of the challenges they are such fun and the girls send so much ribbon than even after you've made a few samples for them you still have loads left for yourself :o) The dotty sheer ribbon really jumped out to me cos I am a real fan of dotty stuff lol This is a little keyring/handbag charm, Lily helped me with this by picking the beads and putting the small beads on the safety pins

Hair bands and clips, the hairbands are so easy, the ribbon is just tied to a band, then I put a few gems on the ends of some of the ribbons, then little bows attached to plain clips

A wee gift tag simple made with scalloped nesties

Plain and simple card to show off the gorgeous ribbons

And lastly Lily's addition. She made the heart with her Hama beads, backed with yellow card with some flowers (can't see them in the pic) and a cute wee bee sticker, then just a bit of robbon threaded through and a bow on the bottom, she was so proud that she was entering the challenge too :o)
Thanks also to Ali for letting me steal her pics cos mine were really rubbish and Ali always takes such gorgeous pics I knew they would be fab :o)

Allsorts......new beginnings

Morning all and I hope the sun is continuing to shine for us all, we've had a really lovely few days of sun here, so am hoping it will continue this weekend

This week at Allsorts it is the gorgeous Debs' turn to set the theme and we have "New Beginnings" I am knitting up a storm just now as I have sooo many friends and a couple of family members all due in the next 6 months! I also made up a couple of cards in case any come a wee bit early lol
The teddy stamp is by Stampin Up, paper is Bo Bunny(I think) I've also used the martha stewart border punch and scalloped circle nestie, charm is from my stash and finished off with a bot of doodling. I made this a couple of weeks ago and I am so gutted that my border punch has now died!! The middle piece of it just won't cut , it doesn't seem to come down enough anymore.

Hope you are all well and have a fab weekend :o)

1st of the month...pinch and punch??

Heehee that idea takes me back to my childhood, my brother and I would pinch and punch each other as hard as we could, we occassionally left bruises!!

Now I am a mature (ahem) grown up.....first of the month means a new challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts This month's theme is "punch away" ~ see how I thought back to pinch and punch? LOL Actually I am all punched out after searching for a good couple of hours for some flower punches for the wedding invitations! Every place I went to had one or the other out of stock...gggrrrr

Anyway I digress......

The punches I used are the Stampin Up notebook edge punch and the butterfly one which I love but can't remember who makes it. The paper is from my stash, I think I was sent it so again don't know who makes it (not doing well here am I?) The image is a Penny Black stickeroo. The lush ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, there are loads of colours of this dotty sheer ribbon and I love it (the ribbon is from the ribbon challenge so expect to see some more with it on)

Congrats to the winners of last months fabulous prizes and good luck to you all in this month's prize draw :o)
